Real-World, Hands-On Experience
You won’t just be observing from the sidelines. As an extern, you will be actively involved with our patients and clients every day. Under the mentorship of our experienced feline veterinarians, you will participate in:
- Comprehensive physical exams and diagnostics
- Client consultations and communication
- Treatment planning and case management
- Anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and surgical assists
A Full Breadth of Clinical Cases
Because we focus strictly on cats, you will see a diverse and challenging caseload that goes far beyond routine wellness checks. You’ll gain exposure to complex feline internal medicine, senior and geriatric care, dental pathology, surgical cases, imaging, and behavioral consultations.

We know how challenging travel and logistics can be during your fourth-year clinical rotations. To make your time with us as seamless and stress-free as possible, we can provide housing located near the clinic. You can focus completely on your clinical learning without worrying about travel accommodations.

We accept fourth-year veterinary students year-round, but spots fill up quickly!
