Our Policies

To ensure minimal wait time and attentive care for all our patients, we are by appointment only. To help accommodate busy schedules, we offer drop off appointments for established clients. Please give us a call ahead of time to let us know you are coming.

All cats that board with us must be current patients, defined as cats having a physical examination at Just Cats Clinic within the last 12 months. This is to ensure that we fully understand the needs of every cat that is entrusted to our care for boarding.

Boarded cats must be up to date on rabies and FVRCP(feline distemper) vaccinations and have a FeLV/FIV test on file. If your cat is indoor only, then any FeLV/FIV test done after the cat was 6 months old is considered current. If the cat is indoor/outdoor, a current FeLV/FIV test will be determined on a case by case basis depending on how much time your cat spends outdoors. At check in, all cats will be inspected for fleas and/or flea debris. Owners will be liable for any flea treatment needed.

Boarding check-ins are performed on weekdays between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. We do not currently offer check-ins on the weekends. Pickups can occur any time during normal business hours (8:00AM to 10:00PM on weekdays and 1:00PM to 6:00PM on weekends). Boarding charges accrue by day. If you pick your cat up by 12:00 PM on a weekday, you will not be charged for that day. This policy does not apply to weekend pickups.

During off hours, the hospital is not staffed. Employees will come in twice daily on weekends, holidays, or during unexpected closures to ensure all boarded cats are cared for properly. We are not able to offer pick up times outside of office hours.

Unfortunately we are not able to board our patients together.

At Just Cats Clinic, we want to ensure we take the best possible care of your cats while they are with us. In order to do that, we need to make sure we know how much each cat is eating and drinking and what their urine/stool production and consistency is like during their stay. Having this information for each boarder helps us to address any concerns promptly and accurately.

Additionally, even kitties that get along perfectly well at home typically don’t like to be together in confined spaces and in a new strange environment. At home they are able to come and go from one another’s space as they wish, but being stuck in a condo together doesn’t provide that option.

For all boarding reservations made over holidays including Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will require a one night per cat deposit to hold your reservation. If you cancel your reservation at least 72 hours prior to the beginning of your drop off date, you will receive your deposit back in full. If you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, you will not receive your deposit back.

To help accommodate busy schedules, Just Cats Clinic offers drop off appointments where you drop your cat off with us for a few hours, or maybe even the rest of the day, and we’ll give you a call when they are ready to be picked up. Please make sure to call ahead of time to schedule drop off appointments. If your cat is sick, we will make every effort to work your cat in the same day.

Drop off appointments are available for existing clients only. If you are a new client and need a drop off appointment, just give us a call and our client care specialists will help work out accommodations. All drop offs are required to fill out paperwork upon arrival and must speak with an assistant or veterinarian about their cat’s particular symptoms prior to leaving. Our goal is clear communication to ensure your cat’s needs are fully met.

Typically drop offs are asked to arrive by 11:00 AM, but we do make exceptions. All surgeries or dental procedures MUST be dropped off by 9:00 AM.

Emergencies will be given priority care. We make every effort to minimize wait times, but occasionally emergencies may bump appointments. While we accept emergencies, please give us a quick call when you are on your way so our staff can prepare.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept Cash, Care Credit, Scratchpay, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. If you have any questions regarding payment, please speak with our practice manager.

Just Cats Clinic maintains secure files and will never release or sell your private information. We frequently share pictures of our patients on our social media accounts, but we will never release your private information with that photo and we will not use your pet’s photo without your approval.
