Dr. Kraut was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She attended George Mason University where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and completed her year of clinical rotations at Louisiana State University – “Geaux Tigers!”. Since graduation, she has moved back home to the DMV and has been working in the area ever since.
After practicing on both cats and dogs for many years, she got a taste of feline exclusive practice and is not looking back. Always a cat person at heart, Dr. Kraut enjoys providing cats with the special care that they deserve. She has certifications in both Fear Free and Feline Friendly practice. Her special areas of interest include soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
When Dr. Kraut isn’t busy caring for your feline friends, she enjoys spending time at home with her two cats Juno and Link, and her pitbull, Quinn. She also enjoys rooting for our local sports teams, especially the Capitals, and Commanders, spending time with her friends, and traveling whenever possible. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Just Cats Clinic and looks forward to meeting all your cute kitties!
